  • Forklift Attachments & Capacity Ratings

All lift trucks with front end attachments shall be rated for the attachment at maximum elevation with the load laterally centred. ASME B56.1- 2000 4.2.2: If the truck is equipped with a front end attachment(s), including fork extensions, the user shall see that the truck is marked to identify the attachment(s), show the approximate weight of the truck and attachment combination, and show the capacity of the truck with attachment(s) at maximum elevation with load laterally centred.

If your trucks data plate does not show a capacity with the attachment you should contact your dealer for an updated data plate, or documentation verifying that no down rating of the truck had occurred due to the addition of the attachment.
